Job Title: General Labour – Food Processing
Location: Brantford, ON
Pay Rate: Starting at $17.60/hour
Schedule: Various shifts (must be flexible; some shifts start as early as 5:00 AM)

We are a regulated food processing facility in Brantford specializing in poultry, meat, and fish products, including both regular and Halal chicken. The facility operates under strict food safety and quality standards and is compliant with CFIA, SQF, and USDA regulations. We offer a wide range of processing and cooking capabilities and produces high-quality products for export.

Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Labourers to join our production team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in hands-on work within a food processing environment, particularly in areas such as marinating, grilling, tumbling, and cutting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food processing tasks including cutting, slicing, dicing, and portioning
• Work on production lines involving marinating, tumbling, and injection processes
• Support cooking operations such as grilling, roasting, steaming, poaching, and sous vide
• Handle products through various stages including tenderizing, flattening, and packaging
• Maintain cleanliness and follow all food safety and hygiene standards
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements (CFIA, SQF, USDA)
• Work as part of a team to meet production targets

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is an asset (not required)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Ability to handle raw poultry, meat, and fish products
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

Requirements:

• Must be flexible with scheduling, including early morning shifts (starting at 5:00 AM)
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (appropriate attire required)
• Must have reliable transportation (local candidates preferred)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
