We currently have an opening position for a Quality Control / Assurance Supervisor for our Vaughan/Concord location as part of our team!
This is a full time position in our Vaughan plant.

This role is responsible to manage our IMS (Integrated Management System) and work in conjunction with our Production, Customer Service, Maintenance and Warehouse departments to ensure the efficient and continuous manufacturing of quality bottles and containers.
You will lead and manage the Quality Management System, Supplier Quality, New Product Development, Pest Control Program, Calibration, Plant House Keeping, Implementation & Maintenance of all Product and Packaging Spec Sheets, Set Up Sheets, Down Time Reports & Data Basis involving the IMS Quality System.
You should be an effective communicator with relationship management and analytical skills.
You should have good computer and software skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Access, Data Base Tools
Process handled will be:
Extrusion and Stretch Blow Moulding
Injection Moulding
Duties:
- Maintain quality standards as per ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000 (IMS) ready for 3rd Party Audits once per year.
- New mould trials/validations
- First off Inspections and in process Inspections
- Prepare and supply of product & packaging, Set up sheets & product labels for each item for each shift
- Reduce the shop floor rejection, scrap and customer complaints
- Carry out process validation. Process audit and machine down time to improve the process
- Lead the organization in achieving corporate and customer’s quality objectives. Complete both internal audits and management reviews.
- Develop quality standards and procedures that are compliant with the IMS, customer and industry specifications.
- Achieve established company and department key performance indicators.
- Develop and train employees in various departments with respect to Quality & UN Standards.
- Manage customer complaints, investigate and work closely to resolve quality issues expeditiously.
- Ensure corrective actions and non conformances are effectively documented, communicated and implemented.
- Lead or support special adhoc projects or duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
- Monitor supplier/vendor quality issues on a monthly basis, and initiating non-conformances and corrective actions for rejections.
- In-process inspection: preparation of line quality boards, rejection reports & cost index reports.
- Lead the inspection team for first off & process activities to ensure defect free product as per the standard and customer product and packaging specifications.
- Conduct training for operators & supervisors regarding product quality awareness, Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 & FSSC22000 (IMS).
